LIFE AT TECHCONNECT Goals that connect to the big picture. TechConnect structures its work through four company-wide OKRs - Economic, Human, Organic and Social - which cascade into Key Results, Epics and individual stories. Every team member has work that links directly to the organisation's strategic direction, tracked transparently in Jira so anyone can see what their colleagues are working on. Quarterly planning sessions review what was achieved and set the focus for the next period, with the whole team invited to provide input. A culture of visible recognition. Every Thursday, the whole team comes together for a meeting that includes dedicated time for giving kudos - public acknowledgment for team members who have demonstrated exceptional performance, lived the values or hit a significant milestone. Bi-weekly Brownbag sessions give individuals and teams a forum to showcase current projects, share what they've built and receive recognition from across the business. Birthdays, promotions, work anniversaries and probation completions are all celebrated — with cake, drinks or whatever suits the occasion. Transparency as standard. All meetings are recorded and stored in Teams. OKRs, job boards and project progress are visible to everyone. The General Manager meets one-on-one with team members, not just through the management chain. A monthly internal newsletter pulls together all key updates, announcements and highlights. When decisions are made at board level, the path to communicating them through the organisation is structured and deliberate - not left to chance. An office that actually enjoys itself. Three to six curated online courses are provided each month, ensuring the program stays relevant and varied throughout the year. Technical development is supported through CloudGuru for cloud platform learning, and the GO1 platform for a broad library of online courses. Certification is actively incentivised financially, reflecting the organisation's commitment to keeping its technical team at the forefront of the industry. A career pathway framework defines clear progression steps with accompanying behavioural expectations, so team members and their leads can set goals with a real destination in mind. Quarterly reviews include formal development conversations, supported by goal-setting in the HRIS platform. A mentorship program pairs junior team members with senior colleagues, and external coaching is provided to leaders both individually and in team settings. The Leadership Acceleration Program, facilitated internally , supports existing and emerging leaders through structured content on authentic leadership, collaborative culture-building, organisational performance and personal growth. Leaders also participate in fortnightly People and Culture meetings to work through team challenges, share insights and support each other. WELLBEING & SUPPORT TechConnect understands that people bring their whole selves to work - and the Care value makes that a feature, not a complication. Mental health is supported through the EAP, and the 12-month learning program regularly dedicates a full month to mental health themes.
